๕๑.สู้เสียสินอย่าเสียศักดิ์ Sacrifice wealth rather than honour.
๕๒.ภักดีอย่าด่วนเคียด Be devoted
and not touchy ( peevish, waspish ).
๕๓.อย่าเบียดเสียดแก่มิตร Do not vex thy friends.
๕๔.ที่ผิดช่วยเตือนตอบ When others err, gently admonish them.
๕๕. ที่ชอบช่วยยกยอ Give honour to whom honour is due.
๕๖. อย่าขอของรักมิตร Do not ask for what thy friends cherish.
๕๗.ชอบชิดมักจางจาก ( Long ) intimacy wearies and (
ultimately ) leads
to estrangement.
๕๘.พบศัตรูปากปราศรัย When meeting an enemy, talk affably with him.
๕๙.ความในอย่าไขเขา Thy inner thoughts ( or feelings
) do not disclose to others.
๖๐.อย่ามัวเมาเนืองนิจ Do not always be infatuated.
๖๑.คิดตรองตรึกทุกเมื่อ Always reflect thoroughly.
๖๒. พึงผันเผื่อต่อญาติ Bgenerous towards thy own
kinsmen.
๖๓. รู้ที่คลาดที่หาญ Know where
to be prudent and where to be bold.
๖๔.คนพาลอย่าพาลผิดWith the bad
not do ill, and do not tie bonds
of อย่าผูกมิตรไมตรี friendship.
๖๕.เมื่อพาทีพึงตอบ When spoken to, make a point of
replying.
๖๖. จงนบนอบผู้ใหญ่ Obey they superiors.
๖๗.ช้างไล่แล่นหลีกหลบ When a
( furious ) elephant comes rushing along, get out
of the way.
๖๘. สุวานขบอย่าขบตอน If a
dog bites thee, do not bite him in
return.
๖๙.อย่ากอบจิตรฤษยา Do
not cultivate jealousy.
๗๐.เจรจาตามคดี Talk to the
point.
๗๑. อย่าปลุกผีกลางคลอง Don’t wake up ghosts
along the canals.
๗๒. อย่าปองเรียนอาถรรพ์ Do not be anxious to learn the
black art in order พลันฉิบหายวายม้วย to hasten the destruction of others.
๗๓. อย่ายลเยี่ยงถ้วยแตกมิติด Do not imitate the china
cup which, once broken, จงยลเยี่ยงสัมฤทธิ์แตกมิเสีย cannot be recomposed; But follow the example of Samrit bronze which, even when shattered, is still useful.
๗๔.ลูกเมียอย่าวางใจ Do not ( blindly ) rely upon thy wife
and children.
๗๕. ภายในอย่านำออก Intimate matters do not
spread out;
ภายนอกอย่านำเข้า and do not bring
outward gossip indoors.
๗๖. อาสาเจ้าจนตัวตาย Stand
by the sovereign until death, and assist thy อาสานายจงพอแรง chiefs efficiently.
๗๗.ของแพงอย่ามักกิน Eatables that are costly do not covet.
๗๘. อย่ายินคำคนโลก Do not listen to the talk of
greedy people.
๗๙. โอบอ้อมเอาใจคน Win other people’s hearts.
๘๐. อย่ายลเหตุแต่ใกล้ Do not take a short-sighted view of events.
๘๑. ท่านไท้อย่าหมายโทษ Towards thy rulers do not mean harm.
๘๒. คนโหดให้เอ็นดู Be lenient to the
dull-witted.
๘๓. ยอครูยอต่อหน้า Praise teachers while they are present;
ยอข้าเมื่อแล้วกิจ subordinates after their work is done;
ยอมิตรเมื่อลับหลัง and friends when absent.
๘๔.ลูกเมียยังอย่าสรรเสริญ Do not praise wife or children while present, เยียวสะเทินจะอดสู for their blushing will put thee to shame.
๘๕.อย่าชังครูชังมิตร Do
not hate either teachers or friends.
๘๖.ผิดอย่าเอา เอาแต่ชอบ Reject what is wrong and adopt
only what is right.
๘๗.นอบตนต่อผู้เฒ่า Incline thyself to the
aged.
๘๘.เข้าออกอย่าวางใจ When entering or leaving a place, don’t do it with ระวังระไวหน้าหลัง perfect confidence, but guard thyself on both
front and
rear.
๘๙.เยียวผู้ชังจะคอยโทษ Beware of him who abhors thee ( as
he will surely harm thee ).
๙๐.อย่ากริ้วโกรธเนืองนิจ Don’t be too often waspish.
๙๑. ผิวผิดปลิดไปร้าง It in error, cast it off and
destroy it.
๙๒. ข้างตนไว้อาวุธ Keep weapons by thy
side.
๙๓. เครื่องสรรพยุทธอย่าวางจิตร Do not trust entirely to weapons.
๙๔.คิดทุกข์ในสงสาร Be mindful of the misery of life.
๙๕.อย่าทำการที่ผิด Do not carry out what has been
wrongly planned.
๙๖. คิดขวนขวายที่ชอบ Endeavour to search out what is right.
๙๗.โต้ตอบอย่าเสียคำ In replying do not waste words (or
talk nonsene).
๙๘. คนขำอย่าร่วมรัก Do not fall in
love with the artful.
๙๙. พรรคพวกพึงทำนุก Foster thy own kinsfolk.
